Official site of the International Agatha Christie Puerto de la Cruz Festival.

This festival commemorates the figure of the Queen of Crime Agatha Christie, the best-selling novelist of all time. She is best known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, as well as the world’s longest-running play: The Mousetrap.

CALENDAR AND PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES

The city of Puerto de la Cruz will be filled with literature, history, culture, gastronomy, music, archaeology and a lot of mystery in different parts of the city.

MARK ALDRIDGE

An academic, speaker and historian, specialising in the world of Agatha Christie. He is the author of the 2019 book “Agatha Christie on Screen” and the author of the 2021 book “Agatha Christie´s Poirot The Greatest Detective in the World”.

JOHN CURRAN

John Curran lives in Dublin. For many years he edited the official Agatha Christie Newsletter and acted as a consultant to the National Trust. John has been working with her grandson, Mathew Prichard, to establish the Agatha Christie Archive, and has written a doctoral thesis on Agatha Christie at Trinity College, Dublin. He has written two books about Agatha Christie’s notebooks.

            MATTHEW PRICHARD

Matthew Prichard is the son of Hubert Prichard and Rosalind Hicks, and the only grandchild of Agatha Christie. His son James Prichard is the current CEO of Agatha Christie Limited.

                    ANDREW WILSON

Andrew Wilson es un británico biógrafo, novelista y periodista. Es autor de cuatro novelas de la serie policíaca protagonizada por Agatha Christie, todas ellas publicadas por Simon & Schuster en el Reino Unido y Estados Unidos:

  • A Talent for Murder (2017), sobre la desaparición real de Agatha Christie en 1926.
  • A Different Kind of Evil (2018).
  • Death in a Desert Land (2019).
  • I Saw Him Die (2020).
